Morgan - President
Hi, I'm Morgan (they/them pronouns). I'm an on-campus student studying writing and finding joy amidst late-stage capitalism. I live my life by the motto that hope (and art!) is punk rock. By promoting empathy, artistic expression curtails the thresholds of apathy, cynicism, and misanthropy that are necessary for oppression to thrive. Storytelling is my chosen medium: from writing to video content creation to tabletop roleplaying. If you are interested in rocking out with the Writers' Society or just want to say hi, I can be found at pwilli71@myune.edu.au
Kim - Vice President
Hola, I'm Kim! You may also know me from TUNEFM. I am an online student doing a concurrent degree in Bachelor of Art and Bachelor of Language! I have an indescribable admiration and passion for the arts, whether it is music, theatre, film, fashion, fine arts and literature, you'll find me there. My taste in literature is anything but linear, from classics, to contemporary, to poetry, to graphic novels and manga. If you would like to get in contact with me, you can reach me at kgray36@myune.edu.au
Simone - Secretary
Hi! I'm an online student studying a Bachelor of Media and Communications (majoring in Writing and Publishing with a minor in Digital and Social Media). I love fantasy romance novels, punchy short stories, and poetry that makes you feel like crying.
You can reach me at swhite87@myune.edu.au
Irene Lemon (she/her) - Treasurer
G'day! My name is Irene, and I am studying Ecofeminist Sound Design in a Master of Arts (majoring in Theatre and Digital Performance). My research informs my creative practice. I make sonic landscapes for podcasting, radio and immersive public art. I love community theatre and collecting and performing stories for my community. I also read many things. My favourite authors are Vicktor Kelleher, Kathrine Kerr and David Eddings. I also love the poetry of Gwen Harwood and Judith Wright. I make zines and dabble in short writing projects like scripts, skits and haiku. You can reach me at ilemon@myune.edu.au
